PHILIPSBURG:--- Deborah Drisana Jack, Dorbrene OMarde, and Fabian Adekunle Badejo received the President's Award here at the 19th annual of St. Martin Book Fair, on June 5, 2021.
The Presidents Award is the final highlight of the St. Martin Book Fair, said book fair coordinator Shujah Reiph.
Jack and Badejo hail from St. Martin and were on hand to accept their award at the Dutch Quarter Community Center, where the Closing Ceremony of the literary festival was held. OMarde viewed the live stream of the program on Facebook at his home in Antigua, said Reiph.

8 Confirmed Covid-19 Cases Today

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The Minister ofPublic Health,Social Development and LaborOmar Ottleyextends his heartfelt condolencesto the familyand friendsof Sint Maartens29thCOVID-19 victim, whohaspassed away. Hewishesthe familystrength duringtheir time of bereavement.

PHILIPSBURG:---  On Tuesday, June 1st, Dutchbased foundation Childfund Sint Maarten hosted a ceremony at the Helmich Snijders Hillside Christian School, where the chairman, Mr. GerritJan Greven, presented 26 schools with vouchers for school uniforms. The foundation has a mission to ensure that all children, regardless of background, can have a proper school uniform and feel a sense of belonging to a school community.

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) On Wednesday, June 2, both the Princess Juliana International Airport Operating (PJIAE) and Holding Company (PJIAH) were invited to an information session as an introduction to the implementation of the Corporate Governance Improvement Plan for the Airport.

The virtual sessions were opened by the Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs, who, while still in the Netherlands, emphasized the value of good governance now and in the future.
