PHILIPSBURG:--- A civil servant working at the Government Administration Building posted on her Facebook page that she tested positive for the virus. The civil servant said in her post that she has always said that if it happened to her she would be as open as the Airport and that the Coronavirus have chosen the wrong warrior.
At the moment, CPS is busy with contact tracing in the government administration building where the civil servant works.
It should be known that the civil servants husband is the Physical Education teacher at Learning Unlimited while her children also attend the same school.
Just last week Friday the Court of First Instance ruled in favor of the school remaining open while the Minister of Health Richard Panneflek was sacked by the court for not having the necessary laws in place to close a school.

The St. Maarten Academy Psve Starts E-Learning On Monday August 17Th

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The St. Maarten Academy PSVE will begin the 2020-2021 school year with online instruction on August 17th, 2020 for all subjects at all levels. With the theme We are in this together-Lets Soar Higher, teachers and students will use three platforms for online learning. These platforms are Zoom – for contact hours, Google Classroom for non-contact hours and Quickschools PSVE for tracking and reporting.

42 News Cases On French St. Martin For The Past Week.

MARIGOT:--- In Saint-Martin, 42 new cases were recorded this week. This brings the total number of coronavirus cases confirmed by PCR tests to 109 A large number of cases this week has been updated thanks to the traveling screening campaign. Two deaths are to be deplored and two people are hospitalized, one at Louis Constant Fleming hospital and the other at the hospital in Guadeloupe.
Since August 8, 551 additional tests have been carried out in the city and hospital, with a total of 2321 tests carried out in Saint-Martin.
