PHILIPSBURG:--- The board of the United Peoples Party gave their former member and candidate Kevin Maingrette the opportunity to apologize to the people of St. Maarten especially the Prime Minister of St. Maarten Silveria Jacobs or resign from the United Peoples Party (UPP) when they realized that he was one of the persons leaking false information to his friend and compatriot businessman Olivier Arrindell.

PHILIPSBURG:--- On October 24, 2023, the Parliament of Sint Maarten hosted colleague Parliamentarians from the countries of Aruba and Curaao for Tripartite discussions.
The objective of the Tripartite meeting is to prepare for the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation as well as to discuss topics of mutual interest. During the Tripartite meeting of February 2023, the delegations agreed to meet more often which would entail three in-person meetings and one virtual meeting per year. Cbcs Announces A New Bond Issue On Behalf Of The Government Of The Country Of Sint Maarten.

WILLEMSTAD/PHILIPSBURG:---  On Friday, November 10, 2023, there will be a bond issue on behalf of the country of Sint Maarten. The bond will have an annual coupon as follows:
NAf 60.854.000,-- bond with a duration of 20 years. The interest rate is based on the Dutch yield curve as of November 2, 2023. The yield as of October 19 for a 20-year loan was 3.418%. The bond will have annual redemption starting on December 10, 2023.
On Thursday, November 2, 2023, the Dutch State Treasury Agency (DSTA) will be able to subscribe, and after that up to Friday, November 3, 2023, 10:00 A.M., the general public will be able to subscribe to this bond issue at all commercial banks on Curaao and Sint Maarten Read more
