El Parlamentario Brownbill Falla En Su Intento Por Evadir AcciÃ³n Judicial En Su Contra

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten.- El parlamentario Chanel Brownbill, fallÃ³ en su intento de evadir la justicia y no ser llevado a los tribunales por fraude fiscal.Â Una sentencia del Tribunal Conjunto de Justicia fallÃ³ en contra del parlamentario 20 de diciembre del aÃ±o pasado, y la sentencia fue publicada el 15 de enero. La misma establece que el caso contra Brownbill puede continuar.Â Brownbill, actualmente es candidato en la lista del Partido DemÃ³crata Unido (UDP), tendrÃ¡ que comparecer ante el tribunal el 7 de febrero.

La abogada de Brownbill, Safira Ibrahim, dijo a la corte en una audiencia a puertas cerradas en diciembre que su cliente habÃa presentado una declaraciÃ³n de impuestos mientras tanto y que el fiscal deberÃa esperar una decisiÃ³n de la inspecciÃ³n tributaria antes de poder procesarla.

Breaking News: Mp Brownbillâ€™S Attempt To Evade Prosecution Fails

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten —Â Member of Parliament Chanel Brownbill has made an attempt to prevent that he would be dragged into court for tax fraud, but a ruling from the Common Court of Justice ofÂ December 20Â of last year, published on January 15, shows that the case can continue. Brownbill â€“ currently a candidate on the United Democrats Party (UDP) list – will have to appear in court onÂ February 7.Â

Brownbillâ€™s attorney Safira Ibrahim told the court in a closed-door hearing in December that her client has filed a tax return in the meantime and that the prosecutor ought to await Â a decision from the tax inspectorate before it can prosecute.
