SIMPSON BAY:--- On Friday evening, the Beyond Kultura Foundation launched its latest children’s book “Chella and the Weird Woman” by Loekie Morales at OBA OBA Restaurant and lounge in Simpson Bay. ST. PETERS:--- Tzu Chi Foundation St. Maarten has broadened its humanitarian efforts and has adopted six schools for a breakfast programme to provide students with fresh breakfast each morning.
The foundation has also donated much-needed packages with school supplies to 1,560 students.

A total of 2,825 students benefitted from the breakfast programme and the school supplies package donation thus far, which involved the efforts of 54 volunteers, who assisted in the process.

PHILIPSBURG:--- United Telecommunications Services (UTS) has sponsored 150 HYPE Agendas 2017-2018 for the students of the Charlotte Brookson Academy (CBA) for the Performance Arts. Thanks to the UTS sponsorship each student at the school will receive a complimentary copy of the Agenda to use for this academic year.

UTS Marketing and Communication Officer Ivy Lambert officially handed over the Agendas to the school on Monday, August 28.

CBA Director Claudette Forsythe-Labega said an Agenda is essential to the school life of students and she urged students to make good use of the HYPE Agendas and to ensure that they note down their school assignments and reminders.

PHILIPSBURG:--- Charlotte Brookson Academy of the Performance Arts has been busy preparing the first set of students to write the examinations offered by the Caribbean Examinations Council as part of their high school graduation requirements. These first set of CBA students writing the examinations will upon their graduation have opportunities to further their studies abroad.
