Kooyman Ready To Paint It Pink This Saturday!

PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - The Positive & Elektralyets Foundations, together with Kooyman Megastore are excited to host the 2 nd annual “PAINT IT PINK”

breast cancer fundraiser event, taking place this Saturday October 22 nd from 5-9pm at the Kooyman Megastore.

The main feature for the evening is the MAKITA Power Tools Workshop, where 200 ladies will get a chance to work together to make their very own wooden wheel barrow planter. All participants

will be provided with a pink T-shirt that they must wear as they gear up to build their project and paint it pink.

After some hard work ladies will be treated to a night of fun, health tips and entertainment, with Makeovers by Beauty Lounge, entertainment with Fun Miles, Skin Care and make-up by Day/Night;

PHILIPSBURG--The fate of the country of St. Maarten, just two weeks shy of its sixth birthday, and its 59,800 plus residents from more than 115 countries lies in the hands of 22,302 people. Those voters, privileged by birth or naturalisation with the Dutch nationality, head to the polls today, Election Day, to cast their ballots for one of the 125 candidates across the slates of nine political parties.

Hope Cruises Past 146 Votes Tuesday

PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten -The HOPE political party Tuesday had their list of three candidates supported by the required 146 voters.

The party surpassed the required amount by having 213 voters support their list as of 4pm Tuesday.

The Central Voting Bureau will meet on Thursday to review the corrected discrepancies of all of the political parties as well as to review the endorsed list of the HOPE after which it will be announced that the parties are eligible to contest the September 26th 2016 Parliamentary elections.
