Port St. Maarten and Lagoon Authority Clearance Offices Partially Closed on Friday, 28 August

>PO-INTE BLANCHE:---  Port St. Maarten and the Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority hereby announces that the clearance offices at Great Bay and in Simpson Bay will be closed on Friday, August 28 from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

For those who would have some business to attend too, please do so before 9.30am or after 1.30pm.

Frank Mingo Funeral Rescheduled from Thursday to Friday.

>PHILIPSBURG:--- Please be informed that due to the upcoming weather on Thursday, the funeral service for former Senator and Minister of Finance Hon. Frank Mingo, has been moved to FRIDAY August 28th at 10 am until 1 pm at the Royal Funeral Home in Sucker Garden.

Frank Mingo passes away in Colombia, flags at half-mast

PHILIPSBURG--Former Minister of Finance of the Netherlands Antilles Frank Mingo passed away at a hospital in Medellin, Colombia, at 11:50pm on Friday, August 14. He was 68.

Prime Minister Marcel Gumbs, Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications Claret Connor and the Port expressed condolences to the Mingo family on his passing.

Connor also extended condolences to Princess Juliana International Airport SXM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Regina Labega on the passing of her mother Lillian Mildred Labega-Rohan, also on Friday.

Prime Minister Gumbs Expresses Condolences To The Mingo Family

PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – Prime Minister Marcel Gumbs expresses his deepest sympathy to the Mingo family with respect to the passing of former Minister of Finance of the Netherlands Antilles Frank Mingo from 1998-1999.
