Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG--In connection with the upcoming Junior and Grand Parade scheduled for Thursday, April 30, St. Maarten Police Force, via a press release, has announced a number of road closures.
The gathering point for the Grand Parade is at the entrance of St. Johns Estate on L.B. Scot Road. The gathering time is at 10:00am. Front Street including all streets and alleys leading to it will be closed from 7:00am.
At 9:00am, L.B. Scot road will be closed at Gladiola road. No traffic will be allowed towards the St. Peters area. L.B. Scot Road will be closed at Arbutus road. There will be no traffic towards Churchill roundabout.
At 9:30am, Gladiola Road will be closed at Coralita Road. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of L.B. Scot Road. L.B. Scot Road closed off at Churchill roundabout. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of St. Peters.
At 10:15am A.J.C. Brouwers Road will be closed off at Welgelegen Road. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Churchill roundabout. Bush Road will be closed off at Zagersgut Road. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Churchill roundabout.
At 10:40am, Zagersgut Road will be closed off at Bush Road. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Bush Road. The Prins Bernard Bridge will be closed. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Bush Road.
At 11:20am, A.Th Illidge Road and Long Wall Road will be closed at the Prins Bernard bridge. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of the W.A. Nisbeth Road. W.A. Nisbeth Road will be closed off at W. Percy Labega Street. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of the Prins Bernard Bridge.
At 12:00 noon, Long Wall Road will be closed at W. Percy Labega Street. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Kerkhof Steeg. Cannegieter Street will be closed at the Manzanilla Steeg. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Percy Labega Street.
Little Bay Road will be closed at Fort Willem Road. No traffic allowed in the direction of Kerkhof Steeg on Front Street. Back Street will be closed at Manzanilla Steeg. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Kerkhof Steeg.
At 4:00 pm Juancho Yrausquin Boulevard will be closed at Welvaart bridge. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Buncamper road. Buncamper road will be closed at the Freedom Fighters roundabout. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Juancho Yrausquin Boulevard.
At 4:20pm, Buncamper Road will be closed at Freedom Fighters roundabout. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of W.A. Nisbeth Road. W.A. Nisbeth Road will be closed at Salt Pickers roundabout. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of the Freedom Fighters round-a-bout.
W.A. Nisbeth Road will be closed at Voges Street. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of W.A. Nisbeth Road. Soualiga Boulevard will be closed at Rock Salt Drive. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Salt Pickers roundabout.
D.A. Peterson Street will be closed at the Salt Pickers roundabout. No traffic will be allowed in the direction of Salt Pickers roundabout.
At 4:30pm W.A. Nisbeth Road will be closed at Codville Webster Road. No traffic will be allowed towards Salt Pickers roundabout.
After the parade, the Salt Picker roundabout will be partially opened. Traffic will only be allowed in the directions of the Prins Bernard Bridge and the Freedom Fighter roundabout until pedestrian traffic has diminished.
