Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG:--- On Wednesday, May 18th, the Le Sommet Foundation and the Haitian Association of Sint Maarten (HASMA)-inaugurated their office during a grand Haitian Flag Day celebration at the Wifold building. Celebrating this year's Haitian Flag Day In the presence of various community leaders, invited guests, and political and Government officials, the le Sommet foundation and HASMA officially introduced its board members. "Tonight, we are proud to introduce the board of the Haitian Association of Sint Maarten. A dynamic group of individuals all dedicated to representing and standing up for/with the Haitian community" - President of HASMA Jimmy Jean Louis. The event was well attended with various speakers gracing the podium. Member of Parliament Solange L Duncan, Member of Parliament George Pantophlet, Member of Parliament Angelique Roumou, and various others all echoed their appreciation, love, and respect for the Haitian People and their Culture. DR. Mercelina also expressed his sentiments with an illustrious elicitation on the Haitian flags. "The Haitian community of Sint Maarten has come a long way. Since November 2020 we have been serving and representing the Haitian community here in St. Maarten. Le Sommet Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to promote the professional, social, and cultural development of individuals within the community of St. Maarten. Haitian Flag Day is celebrated every May 18th. This year marks 219 years of the Haitian Flag adaptation for the republic of Haiti. As a token of appreciation, both governments were gifted with an original Haitian Painting.
