Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
~ Parliamentary Inquiry underway~
PHILIPSBURG:--- Member of Parliament Rolando Brison congratulated the Central Bank on its victory with the victory judgment that was handed down on Monday in Curacao in the case of Ennia verses Ansary. The UP Faction leader and former Chair of Parliament said that the recent verdict came after an investigation that began some five years ago. Brison said Mondays verdict which condemned Ansary to pay Ennia over a billion guilders is a very important verdict which did not surprise him because the parliament of St Maarten has been conducting its own investigation through the inquiry that was approved by the Parliament of St. Maarten.Brison also condemned the statements made by Ansary in the daily newspapers, by trying to dissuade investors from investing in St. Maarten. As for the Mullet Bay inquiry Brison said is ongoing, he said the first part of the inquiry is highly confidential because the information is being subpoenaed while the public part of the inquiry he said is soon to take place.Brison further explained that he will be calling a public meeting of parliament to adjust certain parts of the inquiry in light of the verdict rendered.
