Prime Minister Attends Launch of the African Caribbean Heritage Alliance.

Wescot-Williams
attended the launch of the African Caribbean Heritage Alliance ACHA at the Belair Community Center on Thursday. The ACHA is an organization founded with the vision to create unity and linkages amongst people of African decent living in St. Maarten and between Africa and the Caribbean in general. During her address to the crowd the Prime Minister highlighted the common history between Africa and the Caribbean in general and St. Maarten more specifically and expressed the
HOPE
that the linkages will continue to unite the two societies. The evening featured food, dance, poetry and song all in the theme of Africa and the Caribbean.
