Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - Prime Minister with the responsibility for General Affairs, the Honorable William Marlin is accusing the former Minister of VROMI, Claret Corner of illegally signing over the land in the vicinity of Lekebek and the LB Scot Sports Auditorium over the Chamber of Commerce.
According to the Prime Minister, the deal was signed on November 19th at the Notary at the time that the former Minister was not allowed to take certain measures.
Speaking on the programme, “View Point†with Fernando Clark on Tuesday, the Prime Minister stated that the Minister made the land available to the Chamber of Commerce to the tune on 1 guilder.
According to the Prime Minister, at the time of the deal, a motion was taken in Parliament that would prevent the caretaker government of the then Marcel Gumbs government from signing off on deals that would have affected the incoming government.
