Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - Former leader of the Democratic Party and Commissioner on St. Eustatius, Kenneth van Putten was laid to rest on Tuesday.
Mr. van Putten died at his home in Statia last week at the age of 77.
He also served as the first Senator from his island of Sint Eustatius in the then Netherlands Antilles.
He is being remembered by many in the Statia community as a generous human being.
