The United Nations Convention, which was signed by 179 countries on November 20th, 1989, marks the significant recognition that youth all over the world should have rights and that their voices too must be heard.

Through ratification of said Convention, by the Netherlands in 1989, the Government of St. Maarten was led to structure policy, legislation, and programs in addition to establishing institutions that endeavored to safeguard the rights of children on the island.

Covid-19 Relief Group Holds Second Fundraising.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The COVID-19 Relief Group will hold its second Fundraising Drive on Saturday, July 31st, and Sunday, August 1st. On both days, the Group will be stationed at the Carrefour Market in Cul-de-Sac, from 10 am until the closing of the supermarket. Persons, families, companies, businesses are encouraged to stop by and give their donations in cash or checks.

Covid-19 Relief Radio/Telethon On Sunday.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The COVID-19 Relief Fundraising is all set to take place on Sunday, December 13 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm at the University of St Martin. It will be broadcast live via PJD2, Radio St Martin, and TV Carib. The goal of this fundraising project is to raise funds to be able to lend a helping hand to persons who are suffering from the impact of the coronavirus on our island.
