PHILIPSBURG – Minister of Justice Rafael Boasman extend condolences to the family and friends of Jane Buncamper-Harms, who passed away on Monday, January 16.

Buncamper-Harms was the mother of Claudius “Toontje” Buncamper and mother-in-law to Maria “Marietje” Buncamper-Molanus, who are close friends of the minister. The late Jane Buncamper-Harms was a pillar in education on St. Maarten and served in many functions.

She was a member of the Board for Catholic Education and principal of the Sundial and St. Dominic Schools, just to name few.

“It was with deep sadness that I heard of her passing and I take this opportunity to wish the entire family God’s strength as they go through these challenging times,” the Minister said.

The minister continued:

“As Minister of TEATT, I use this medium on behalf of the members of the cabinet of the ministry, to extend our deepest sympathies to Michael Granger and his family on the passing of his grandmother, Gladys Jermain-Hyman, who passed away on Sunday, January 15. May you and your family find comfort in knowing that your loved one is in the arms of the good Lord.”

Both of the deceased will be laid to rest today.
