Foresee Foundation In High Gear For 2020

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – On the last day of 2019 all seven Foresee (4C) Foundation board members came together and evaluated the past year while gearing up for 2020.

Honorable Minister of Justice Egbert Jurendy Doran, whotook officeexactly 7 weeks ago,on November 19th, 2019,said that although the Justice Ministry faced many challenges when he took over, with a concerted effort, he was able to see great progress take place in the Ministry over the short period.

The Minister, who came inwith determination, persistence and commitment, immediately gotacquainted with the department headsandwasupdated on thefunctioning and state of affairs of eachdepartmentthat falls under his Ministry.

Justice Personnel Threaten Action If Legal Placements Not Addressed

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Personnel in the Justice Field submitted a demand letter to the Minister of Justice Juredy Dorean and the Governor of St. Maarten on Monday, January 6, claiming that if their concerns/request are not met by Monday, January 13, they would proceed with what they called “other measures.”

The issue concerns the placements of Police and Immigration officers in their legal status. The justice workers approached Police Inspector Lyndon Lewis, who has represented many of them in court, seeking his advice on how he can assist them on the pushing the justice organization forward because, according to them, the management team isn’t doing anything in getting the personnel affairs of the police force in order.
