Nv Gebe Working Together With The Ministry Of Vromi And Justice To Bring Street Lights Back On In Neighborhoods

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — NV GEBE stated in a press release that one of the companys priority in 2021 is to ensure Street Lights repair throughout various districts on the Dutch Side of St. Maarten.

NV GEBE stated that prior to hurricane IRMA the amount of street lights installed were a little over 4000. After the passing of IRMA a survey was done and only 1700 street lights survived the devastation. The script was very familiar on Wednesday evening when I was the only Member of Parliament who voted against cutting your benefits and in some cases salaries.

I have asked over 100 questions about these cuts to civil servant benefits and in some cases salaries. I have gotten carefully worded non-answers which clearly show that these decisions were not based on any tangible studies, reports, union involvement, nothing. Dominican Republic Travel Ban To Be Lifted

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – As per Friday, February 12th, the travel ban put in place to restrict the movements of people traveling from the Dominican Republic to Sint Maarten will be lifted.

The measures were introduced in an effort to prevent the spread of the contagious new variant of Coronavirus by persons coming traveling from the Dominican Republic.

The lifting of the ban was announced Wednesday morning by the Honorable Minister in charge of TEATT, Ludmila de Weever.

While the travel restriction will be lifted, residents traveling from the Latin American country will need to have a negative 72 hours Covid 19 PCR test, before getting on a flight to the island.
