Youth Policy Plan Stakeholders Session Organized By Department Of Youth

PHILIPSBURG – The Department of Youth hosted a consultation session with stakeholders to discuss the Integrated Youth Policy Plan (IYP) on Friday, December 9, at the University of St. Martin (USM).

The purpose of the consultation session was to discuss relevant areas concerning youth development on St. Maarten as well as strategies for effective implementation as outlined in the draft document.

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On September 8, countries all over the world are celebrating the 50th anniversary of International Literacy Day.

The Democratic Party (DP) candidates have chosen to dedicate their time to take part in a project that involves taking the time to go to different schools or community after school programs and read to our youth. PHILIPSBURG--“Nuts” is how Jorien Wuite, Secretary-General for Education and Youth as well as Parliamentarian hopeful, described the current 26 per cent youth unemployment rate in the country.
