PHILIPSBURG – NV GEBE celebrated its yearly “Santa Comes to GEBE,” where children from the I Can Foundation, Hope Outreach Foster Care, and students of the public schools received an early Christmas gift at GEBE’s Christmas Village located on the Ring Road.

Over 300 gifts were distributed this year to children ages of 2-12. Children within the public schools were selected by the teachers. The children were joyful and enjoyed the day GEBE hosted in their honor.

PHILIPSBURG – On Thursday, November 24, the Council of Ministers met with management of the three major industries operating in the Cay Bay area: SOL, US Laundry and NV GEBE, to discuss the environmental and health situation at hand.

While Minister of Education Silveria Jacobs, has been addressing the situation in the Cay Bay area for the past couple of weeks, the complaints of residents in that area as well as of the Miss Lalie Center have increased.  For this reason, the Council, upon request of Minister Jacobs, called for the urgent meetings.

Relocation GEBE’s new generator incident-free

CAY BAY–The relocation of utilities company GEBE’s new diesel generator (Engine 20) from the Port in Pointe Blanche to its final location at the production plant in Cay Bay on Sunday morning was successful and incident-free.

“The move of the engine went pretty smoothly,” GEBE Interim General Manager and designated Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kenrick Chittick told The Daily Herald on Sunday.

PHILIPSBURG--The Supervisory Board of Directors of utilities company GEBE has “relieved” Interim Managing Director Andrew Zagers of his post and has appointed two interim Managing Directors pending the shareholder’s appointment of a new managing director.

  Chairman of the Supervisory Board Roy Marlin told employees in an internal notice that all seven members of the supervisor board on August 20, ratified a resolution to relieve Zagers from the position of Interim Managing Director of GEBE effective August 23, pending the appointment of a new managing board or a new managing director by the shareholder of GEBE.

Nv Gebe Presents Led Energy Saving Light Bulbs To Seniors

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — NV GEBE on Thursday presented LED (Light Emitting Diodes) energy saving light bulbs to five senior citizens at its Pondfill office.  Also present was Home Away from Home President Patsy Flanders. Member of Parliament (MP) Maurice Lake, was also scheduled to be present for the presentation, however, he had to be present at the House of Parliament for a meeting.  MP Lake has been a staunch supporter of the senior citizen relief program that NV GEBE initiated.
