Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
MARIGOT--French side President Aline Hanson has allegedly been attacked this morning by man with a frying pan in front of her office in Marigot. She was rapidly transported to the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital for treatment. The severity of her injuries are not known.
The reportedly “troubled†man is said to be from Sandy Ground and is a former musician who has landed on hard times.
Elected and other government officials on both sides of the island usually travel with limited security owing to the informal nature of the community. It is not known as yet if this attack on Hanson will led to increased security around officials who are used to be in close contact with residents.
