PHILIPSBURG: --- Reliable information reaching SMN News states that the shareholder representative of NV GEBE has signed off on resolutions instructing the two board members of NV GEBE to send the recently appointed statutory director Merrill Temmer and former Temporary Manager Sharine Daniel on inactive duty pending the independent investigation that has been ordered by the shareholder.
The sources say that both Temmer and Daniel replied to the letter of the SBOD and shareholders with lawyers letter fighting to remain on duty. Due to the fact, the two senior employees of NV GEBE have shown resistance instead of cooperating with the shareholder and SBOD both the shareholder and the SBOD have decided to seek legal advice on the suspension of two managers that were managing NV GEBE at the time of the Black Byte Ransomware attack on March 16th, 2022.
Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs did say on Wednesday that the Council of Ministers (Shareholders) remain resolute on the decisions they have taken which is to appoint an Independent Temporary Manager and an Independent Crisis Management Team.
Sources say the resolution to appoint Troy Washington as Temporary Manager was also signed off on Tuesday.
Aurora InfoTech wrote a detailed report on the March 17th ransomware attack and also indicated that GEBE IT Department was heavily mismanaged. Aurora also stated in their report that GEBE IT department restarted the firewalls and reinstalled the servers thus wiping out all the forensic data.

Members of the community are at their wit ends as NV GEBE continues to send incorrect bills to them. Some clients of NV GEBE said that the company is simply giving customers an overview for March, April, and May instead of providing a bill that shows the amount of kilowatt used and the cost of the fuel charge.
One of the main errors on the bills is the meter reading which is way off from the February bills.
Persons that have paid their bills either at the companys office in Philipsburg or at the bank are yet to see those payments reflected on their bills.
NV GEBE has told reporters that they recovered 110% of their data when in fact the only usable data they managed to recover is for their employees regarding their salaries. This is also mentioned in the Aurora InfoTech report where it states that NV GEBE hired an Australian company to recover its data and that company did manage to recover data regarding their employees, thus enabling NV GEBE to pay its staff throughout the shutdown after the cyber-attack.
Other data recovered from the companys servers were deemed not usable.
