Media Submit Joint Letter Objecting To Policy, Request Meeting With Govt.

Reporter Darlene Hodge booked the joint statement at the Government Building on Tuesday. Copies will also be submitted  to the Parliament of St. Maarten, Council of Ministers, Ombudsman and Association of Caribbean Media Workers, amongst others.

PHILIPSBURG--Representatives of a cross section of media organisations in St. Maarten submitted a joint letter to Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs on Tuesday, objecting to aspects of governments Media Accreditation Policy and requesting a meeting with the Council of Ministers and the Department of Communication (DComm) on the matter within five weeks.
