PHILIPSBURG:--- A new Toastmasters club is on the horizon in St. Maarten as Area 31 is expanding by chartering a new club.The public is invited to its open house to meet members and watch a special guest speaker, Brenda Maynard, Program Quality Director, District 81. talk about the importance of communication skills for todays professional.The objective of the open house is to highlight the benefits of Toastmasters and encourage the public to join a worldwide nonprofit educational organization that empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Toastmasters is recognized globally for empowering individuals to develop and improve their public speaking and leadership skills in a supportive and positive environment.
The chartered club will feature Toastmaster's new education program, Pathways. Highlighted by interactive, customized and flexible learning, Pathways offers expanded skill development and competencies that users can apply in their careers, personal lives and in the community. Since the launch of the Pathways program last year, users have leveraged the skills learned through the program to advance their careers. Additionally, employers around the world are using Pathways as an inexpensive option to retain their employees and enhance the skills of their workforce.
