PHILIPSBURG:--- Information reaching SMN News states that the Landsrecherche is busy investigating a UPP MP elect who was elected on August 29th, 2014 for election fraud. According to the information provided to SMN News undercover agents that were working on Election Day have the MP elect on camera along with other evidence which suggests he was giving out monies to voters at the Belvedere and Dutch Quarter polling stations.

SMN News contacted Solicitor General Taco Stein to confirm whether or not the information SMN News received has any truth to it. Stein said he does not know but SMN News should check with KPSM who later said they are not investigating any politician.
Press Prosecutor Tineke Kamps in an invited comment said that such investigations are done by the Landsrecherche and not KPSM as indicated by Stein. She further said that she will not make any comment on whether or not the Landsrecherche is busy investigating an MP elect who already has a court case scheduled for December 2014. "I will not confirm neither will I deny because that will tell you what we are doing. Basically I refuse to comment at this stage because the Prosecutor's Office has changed its policy on when we will make comments on ongoing investigations. We did this because we do not want suspects to know that they are under investigation. This way they will not be able to get rid of evidence. I am sorry but you will have to see how to deal with the information you obtained," Kamps said.
