Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - The St. Maarten Police Force is conducting an in-depth investigation into a jeep and truck fire in South Reward this past Tuesday.
After the flames were put out by the St. Maarten Fire Department, an investigation was started after a gas bum was discovered inside of the Jeep which for which the owner of the jeep MP Christopher Emmanuel said he had no knowledge of.
Forensics started their investigation of the fire and on their return to the fire scene where further searches were carried out, a gun was also discovered.
The fire took place within close proximity to the Residence of the Prime Minister the Honorable William Marlin who stated during the DCOM press briefing on Monday that he hoped the fire was not a criminal act with a political motive.
Meanwhile Chief Inspector of Police Ricardo Henson confirmed on Thursday that the investigation is ongoing.
