Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - Leader of the National Alliance and Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable William Marlin this week spoke about the possibility of St. Maarten becoming an independent island.
Last Friday Emancipation Day the Prime Minister indicated that embracing independence is the only way forward.
However on Wednesday the Prime Minister noted that being a part of the Dutch Kingdom is a decision that the people have made.
He maintains his personal opinion that every country should strive for independence.
