>PHILIPSBURG: --- The management team of GEBE headed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Rene Gartner appointed Iris Arrindell as Commercial Manager of the company. The position has been open since January 2014 when the former Commercial Manager Steve Duzanzon was suspended and then left the company when they gave him a proposal if he resigned. During that period Franz Clark was the acting commercial manager until Arrindell was appointed. It is not known why Clark was not appointed Commercial Manger.
Arrindell was working in the finance department, and was head of that department and also would fill in for the finance manager Andrew Zagers when he is absent. While Arrindell is very qualified in finance and was asked to be the Minister of Finance because of her strength and qualification in financing her appointment as commercial manager leaves many questions as to why she was promoted and placed in the commercial sector of GEBE and not in the area where she is obviously strong.
