PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten On Wednesday May 20, the second repatriation charter flight brought home SZV insured patients who have completed their medical treatments abroad and are able to continue follow-up treatment on Sint Maarten. PHILIPSBURG--Social and Health Insurance SZV and Government are making progress on their talks to hammer out an agreement on the outstanding arrears owed to the insurance service provider by the deadline set by the Committee for Financial Supervision CFT.

The deadline is this month, which ends next Friday. The progress of talks with APS could not be ascertained. Government and SZV have been engaged in talks and have had several meetings to reach an agreement.

Court awards damages to SZV chief financial officer

PHILIPSBURG--The Court of First Instance has awarded damages to the tune of NAf. 62.052 to former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Social and Health Care Insurance SZV John Mario Zaandam, it emerged Tuesday. Zaandam had filed a lawsuit against his former employer after SZV had decided not to renew his one-year contract, which expired November 1, 2014.

Ground broken for new SZV walkway

HARBOUR VIEW--Efforts to have a walkway bridge for pedestrians to have easier access to the Social and Health Care Insurances SZV compound at Harbour View came one step closer to reality on Wednesday, when the ground was broken for the new structure.
