Persons Insured By Szv Has To Pay Cash At Lfc. Lack Of Payment By Obs.

Remembering What We Share In Common: A Past In The Making.

PHILIPSBURG:--- What past do St. Martiners (Sint Maarteners & Saint Martinoise) long for, when they talk about the good old days? St. Martiners have been described as those Born Here and those Born to be Here. This non- ethnic and non-racial definition, brilliantly introduced by the honourable governor of the island, Drs. Eugene Holiday, is meant to be both accommodating and normative. St Martiners are those who put the island first. They are patriots, persons who love the island. Dr. Louis Jeffry who can trace back his ancestry to the time of slavery, and Father Charles, the island’s revered Catholic priest, who was born on Saint Lucia, equally qualify.

80 Persons Certified By Observatory For Public Health Survey

MARIGOT/PHILIPSBURG - 80 persons have finalized their participation in the training as interviewers for the ‘How Healthy is Sint Maarten/Saint Martin?’ public health survey.

The training was facilitated by the University of the U.S. Virgin Islands (UVI) through their collaboration with the University of St. Martin (USM) (UVI @ USM), as well as the Department of Statistics (STAT) and three Health Care Professionals volunteering their time and skills for the initiative.

Mayotte Delegation on visit to Collectivité

MARIGOT--A delegation of high-ranking technicians from the island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean has been on a three-day visit to St. Martin to discuss issues common to both territories as well as issues related to Europe, Ultra Peripheral Regions RUP and to exchange information.

The delegation comprised Jacques Toto, Secretary-General in charge of General and Human Resources, Assistant Cabinet Director for European Affairs Dayane Saïd Mohamed, and Chargé de Mission RUP and European Affairs, Adrachi Velou.

President of the Conseil Général was not able to make the trip due to other commitments.
