Two Stories Of Morales Featured In Bnk Children Year Book 2020

Here it is, published right on time before the start of the yearly childrens bookweek inCuraao.

The Biblioteka Nashonal Krsou (BNK) recently published this ‘Gift book’ for the Children Book week 2020. This year around, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the authors will not be visiting the schools during the Children Book week, which will thankfully take place from 26th to the 30th of October. There is a different protocol this year.

Authors were asked to send in a video about their work as a writer, the books that they have published, and to read a paragraph out of their works. During the book week, children will be encouraged by the authors to read more.

The gift book is entitled ‘Krsou, un pasado riku’/’Curacao eenrijk verleden’ and is in Papiamentu and Dutch and is illustrated by Ariadne Faries. The english title would be: Curaao a rich History’. The book is full color, hard covered and has in total 15 stories.

CAY HILL, Sint Maarten – On Tuesday October 13, 2020 SMMCs Outbreak Management Team (OMT) announced that SMMCs Auxiliary Care Facility (ACF), located at the basketball court at RaoulIllidgeSports Complex opposite SMMC, hasrecently beengiven the all clear and is now in full operation.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The chairman of the CFT dispatched a letter to the Minister of Finance Ardwell Irion informing him that he is not allowed to float a bond with the Central Bank.

Uwi And Usm Sign Mou Marking Historic Solidarity In The Caribbean

POND ISLAND-- University of St. Martin (USM) and University of the West Indies (UWI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marking a historic partnership between the two universities.

USM after a decade of working in close partnership with UWI Open Campus, expressed an interest in joining UWI global system which includes joint centres with ten international universities, USM announced in a press release on Saturday.

The UWI Council discussed the concept note and approved it in principle earlier this year, asking Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles and his team to develop a road map with a full proposal for further consideration.

That process began with the signing of an MOU between the two universities on Wednesday, October 7.

Vice-Chancellor of UWI, Professor Sir Beckles and Valerie Giterson-Pantophlet, President of the Board of USM met virtually to sign the MOU which marked a historic partnership, not only between the universities, but significantly for the framework for collaboration and regional development now established between the Dutch Caribbean and English-speaking territories of UWI.

As an Economic Historian, Professor Sir Beckles brought context to the importance of the occasion, noting that after 528 years almost to the date, of Christopher Columbus entry into the region on October 12, 1492, that this is A historic and courageous project that seeks to reverse the legacies of the Columbus project, to put those legacies behind us so that we can go forward as one people, one sovereign nation, one civilization Read more
