Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - Minister with the responsibility for Health, Social affairs and Labor, the Honorable Cornelius de Weever is of the opinion that politics is being played with the St. Maarten Medical Center.
Whilst addressing that subject at the Council of Ministers press briefing on Wednesday, Minister de Weever reiterated that the expansion of the St. Maarten Medical Center, services and equipment have been and will continue to be a priority of the Ministry, the government and for St. Maarten in general.
It is for this reasons the Minister stated that he gave a permit for the expansion.
The Minister was also very critical of the fact that the expansion of the SMMC did not go ahead; as he feels that this was not a priority of former Commissioners of Health.
