Outgoing Minister Lake Has Christmas Lunch With Senior Citizens Organized By Home Away From Home

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Outgoing Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI) Hon. Maurice Lake in one of his final activities on Friday prior to the swearing in of the new Council of Ministers, enjoyed Christmas lunch with senior citizens organized by Home Away from Home Foundation at the John Larmonie Center.

"The seniors are very close to my heart. They are the backbone of Sint Maarten, and they have played a role in bringing me so far in life. I have a lot of respect for our elders.

"I will continue to do my bidding for our senior citizens from the hall of Parliament. We have to continue to further enhance the services for our elders in the New Year 2015," Outgoing Minister Hon. Maurice Lake said in one of his final activities as Minister on Friday.

The outgoing Minister was thanked by the Home Away from Home Foundation, Taking Care of the Golden Age Foundation, and the Seniors Association, for his efforts in helping seniors especially the reduction in utility rates for the senior citizen community.
