PHILIPSBURG: On Monday, December 16, the outgoing Interim President of the Central Bank of Curacao and St. Maarten (CBCS) paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Finance Ardwell Irion as he bid farewell to the Island.Mr. Traa, who was accompanied by St. Maarten Branch director Raquel Lo Fo Wong, briefed the Minister and his cabinet about the ongoing situation at the CBCS and provided insight into the possible consequences. Mr. Traa was a visiting professor at the University of Oregon and Western Washington University worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and has key experience in macro-economic analysis and policy, as such the outgoing Mr. Traa discussed these matters as it pertains to the CBCS with Minister Irion.The Minister expressed his gratitude to the Interim President for his work at the CBCS and wished him much success in his future endeavors.
