DEN HAAG:--- The news of the arrest of Member of Parliament Frans Richardson has the attention of Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin; she stated, “It is regrettable that as a young country we find ourselves in this situation once again, where the integrity of the highest body (Parliament) is being tested. However, I have confidence in our Country’s legal system and am convinced that the truth will eventually emerge from the investigations by the Justice Departmentâ€.
The Prime Minister urges persons in the community not to rush to judgment, as this case is still under investigation. “As Prime Minister, I stand for the rule of law and I believe the legal process must run its courseâ€, she said while on her working visit to the Netherlands and Belgium.
