Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
THE HAGUE:--- Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten Henrietta Doran-York welcomed the 31 newly arrived students of Sint Maarten to her Cabinet on Friday August 5th 2016, where the spent the entire day receiving information on the various ways that the Cabinet can be of assistance to them, being introduced to the various Sint Maarten established organizations in The Netherlands, receiving information on housing and insurances among other things. A representative of DUO was also in attendance and provided the student with all the pertinent information regarding their study financing while in the Netherlands.During interaction with the students, the Minister was updated by the students on how they spent their first days in The Netherlands and how they were adapting so far. Life coach Edwina Hodge, gave key information to the students through interactive games, on how to cope with stress situations and attitude adjustments while studying.The Minister made mention that the Students Guidance Councilors Mrs. Geesha Alaran-Williams and Mrs. Xaviera Mc. Donald-Archangel, has been doing a really terrific job in preparation for the students, during their arrival and are still continuing tirelessly to assure that the students settle in properly in order for them to be able to fully concentrate on their studies in September. At the end of the day, the students left, motivated, grateful and enlightened.
