Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG – The St. Maarten Youth Boys Basketball team was crowned champions as they went undefeated against Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao elementary schools at the Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou competition in Curaçao this weekend.
Ishmael Gumbs of the Ruby Labega School was awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the St. Maarten team.
The St. Maarten Academy Girls Volleyball Team came up short in their match-ups, however, the team gained a lot in experience. In keeping with proper sportsmanship, the St. Maarten Academy Girls Volleyball team used this opportunity to not only strengthen its team bonds, but also created friendships with their fellow competitors.
The St. Maarten delegation was led by Department of Sports Head Jonelle Richardson and Minister Silveria Jacobs
