Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - This past Thursday the Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Marcel Gumbs called a press conference and outlined their reaction to the vote of no confidence against his government by the Parliament of St. Maarten.
Prime Minister Gumbs confirmed that the motion took his cabinet by surprise.
He has also initiated a procedure through the use of article 59 of the constitution to dissolve parliament and call for fresh elections.
