Unbiased look at the Sint Maarten Elections
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - Under the theme, "Governance: The Value of Checks and Balances", the annual Governor's Symposium took place at the Westin Dawn Beach Resort over the weekend.
Attendees to conference, which took place on Friday June 19th, heard from several speakers including the host Drs. Eugene Holiday, Prime Minister the Honorable Marcel Gumbs, Miguel Alexander and former managing director at the Windward Islands Bank, Jan Beaujon, as they all contributed to the theme of the Symposium.
Whilst delivering his speech regarding the subject for this year's Governor's Symposium, he spoke of the vital role that the media plays in the area of "Check and Balances."
