>PHILIPSBURG:--- The Supervisory board of directors of GEBE means business and they are sticking to the decision they have taken not to renew the contract  Romelio Maduro’s  as the Chief Financial Operations Officer of the Company.
Shortly after Maduro was officially informed by two of the board members in writing that he was not to be on the property as his contract expired on May 31st 2015, he retained attorney at law Peggy Ann Brandon to represent him. Not long after that the Prime Minister of St. Maarten  Marcel Gumbs revoked the supervisory board’s decision and reinstated Maduro on the job without giving him a contract. Last week Monday Maduro showed up to work and the same day met with owner of St. Maarten Service Provider Alfred Harley at a restaurant in Orient Bay, later that same day Maduro, wrote out a check to St. Maarten Service Provider to the tune of $68,000.00. SMN News broke all of the mismanagement and micro-management that is taking place at the Government Owned Company. Even though several articles were written the Supervisory Board of Directors never made any official statement.
However, they have retained the services of Attorney at Law Jairo Bloem who sent out a press release on behalf of the company. The letter reads as follows:-

N.V. GEBE and the Supervisory Board of Directors of N.V. GEBE want to hereby inform the general public that Mr. R.A. Maduro is not legally entitled to represent and thus take any action in the broadest sense of the word on behalf of N.V. GEBE, because:

1. Mr. R.A. Maduro has not been legally appointed into any function with N.V.

GEBE and consequently does not have any corporate or contractual relationship with N.V. GEBE;

2. Mr. R.A. Maduro was conditionally, insofar as might be required, suspended and placed on non-active duty by the Supervisory Board of Directors of N.V. GEBE, starting June 11th, 2015.
